I'm very happy with my purchase. It's easy to carry in the car and easy to store in the garage. Easy to assemble, Seat is very comfortable and I love the design. I use it a lot in the bay, and because of the current caused by large boats, the wind, and my 260-pound weight, I can't stand up and fish as advertised. But I'm sure if the person is lighter and fishes in an area where there's no current, they could stand up in the kayak without any problem. Despite all this, I'm very satisfied with my kayak.

So to be fully transparent my review for this kayak is 4.5 out of 5 due to a few little things. The first is the rudder pull cable is just 550 cord which worries me because if it ever snaps I’m not sure what to do. Now to be clear there is a safety pin on the rudder you can use to flip and lock it down if that situation happens so you’ll have to be very careful around shallow water or things like submerged vertical structure but at least you won’t be totally rudderless Second issue is a benefit for transport but a little bit hard to deal with on water and that’s the length and width of the vessel. It fits perfectly in my 2017 Kia Soul but there lies the issue. The 9.5ft length is great for storing, transporting, and being on the water. But it being under 10ft long means it’s probably just an inch or two too narrow for a guy my size. This kayak is perfect for anyone 5’10” and under. I’m 6’2” and 215lbs so the first day on water I had to learn how to sit in it so I didn’t feel super wobbly. If you are a taller person you can still use this vessel safely and comfortably but you’ll have to do a lot of adjustment to the pedals and seat back till you find that sweet spot. Overall I’ve had fun with the kayak; it is my first one ever and I think I’m gonna get a a lot of good times out on the water because of it.

I have been looking into getting my first fishing kayak for about a year. I live in an apartment, so I searched for something that wouldn’t take up too much space. I have a 2014 Ford Fusion and am easily able to transport the kayak in the backseat of my vehicle. I love the gear tracks and have added a few attachments (cup holder, rod holder, camera). I look forward to adding a trolling motor to this beauty but the fin drive and paddle work just perfect! I can’t wait to get back on the water!

First impressions, the quality of this 100% made in the USA Kayak! Everything seems solid and well made. Assembly was fairly straightforward, I had some confusion with the rudder system but I think it will work itself out once I get it off the sawhorses and into to water. It was just hard to pull up. It’s actually 9’9” not 10’ so I don’t need to purchase a permit, that’s a bonus above and beyond the fact that it fits in my car, a 2017 Ford Edge. I selected the Radar because it is wider than the Raptor so it’s more stable, but I don’t think it would fit in a back seat… I had to put my back seats down and put it in the hatchback. The colors are so vibrant, I just love it. Definitely follow manufacturer recommendations and tighten all the screws before use. Delivery was quick, the driver left the box next to my garage door. I was able to move the box into the garage myself. So initial impressions, I’m very happy with my purchase and looking forward to getting my new Kayak on the water!!! 👏🏻🎣🚣‍♂️😊

I bought this kayak because I didn't want to invest in roof racks, or the hassle of getting it on and off the roof. It fits in our Honda Odyssey very easily, including fishing rods, tackle, etc. Assembly at the fishing spot takes about 5 seconds, and it is very seaworthy (I fish saltwater for striped bass). I did a lot of research before buying this, and it paid off. It is an excellent product. Already got my first keeper striper on the maiden voyage! (see photo)

Love my rapido. Assembly was a breeze and it fits nicely in the bed of my pick up truck so now I can now kayak anytime I'm ready. Portability, affordability and build quality were key and factors and this checks those boxes. I've taken it out all the water about 6 times and it cuts through the water nicely. Fins are sturdy and it's nice that Reel Yaks gives you a spare set as they can become damaged over time from bottoming out. Hull sits nicely on my C-tug kayak cart when I need to get it to and from the water. It's light enough that I can also carry it in 2 parts to the launch spot and assembly at the water. Comes with a good rod holder that mounts to the rail system, and the build in holders are well-spaced for rod storage. The storage well is a good size and allows me to keep things secure and dry. The seat is comfortable and allows for easy adjustments so I can slide backwards or forward as needed. Rudder control allows for a decent turn radius and is well designed. One problem so far: one of my bottom latches recently broke off when taking kayak out of the water as hull came to rest against the river bank. I was able to find it at the shoreline but it's damaged and needs to be replaced. Pretty simple fix and Reel Yaks sells the latches on their website. Hopefully, the warranty will cover the replacement. Great purchase. You'll love it!

It met all my expectations. A safe, stable kayak, easy to assemble and handle - even with a two-wheeled trolley - all the way to the ramp.

Five stars for value. You get a lot of boat for the money. decent quality overall. Great buy.
